For fertilizers, any generic ones will do as long as you remember to fertilize its soil once in summer and in spring.

Pots have to have drainage holes to ensure excess water can flow freely under it. Otherwise, the flowers will swim in its pot and have the rhizomes rotting. Only pour moderate amount of water here. It will be enough to keep soil moisture and retain it at that level every week.

Siam tulips will be dormant come winter time to rest. When this season is about to come, you should not do fertilization and watering to the plants. Let its leaves turn yellow and naturally die. When spring blooms, those will grow back once more and will resume the normal life cycle. Remember to place the rhizomes in fresh soil mix in early spring before resuming your routine care.
