Being Involved In The Tamock Commanderie

By Stephanie Murray

In the army, those going into war are led by a commander. This is a superior figure who guides individuals on the tactics to use during the war. Individuals listen to this authority because he is expected to be knowledgeable on the issues he has been given power over. The same is relatable in the Tamock Commanderie.

Individuals involved here are Christians. Some people are born into this kind of life while others get to learn about it with time. The latter are considered adopted. Both parties consider themselves as family since they have come together for a common purpose. Apart from upholding Christianity it is also important for them to carry on with the culture of their ancestors.

The society today is evolving. Values that were considered important a couple of years back are no longer upheld. Good leaders are not given positions of power because they are considered too good. The greedy individuals are considered aggressive and are often voted into different leadership positions. Young children need to be guided to culture positive morals.

The Commanderie aims to stand tall and to be different. Men are expected to be gentlemen and women are to act as ladies. They are expected to show a good example for those who are looking up to them. They both should practice Christian values which are a good guide against the moral decay of the society today. These values when practiced equal good conduct.

Problems among Christians tend to arise because of the different denominations that exist. They each have slightly different beliefs that differ from each other. Coming together at the Commanderie means setting those differences aside and focusing on the strength the group has when in unison. Those considered against the group will be dealt with accordingly.

The organization is often charged with carrying out different duties. Most of the work involves helping the society especially those who cannot help themselves. They provide food in those situations where communities are starving due to drought or other conditions. Donations are also made to different charities in form of money or any other means.

There is a certain checklist that people should measure themselves by as they join this elite group of people. It is meant to help them reflect on their morals. Faith is at the topmost of the list. Those willing to be part of this must believe they are doing the right thing and serving the right purpose. At that point when they question their actions, their faith will be their guide.

It is important to be honorable as a person. This refers to how a person is measured by others and also how he or she views himself. Once the commitment to serve in this capacity has been made, it is necessary for one to maintain the oath made. Challenges are likely to come but the necessary effort needs to be made to avoid faltering. There must be proper reflection before any oath is made to be part of such a group.
